Crockpot Chicken and Gravy

Honestly, this recipe isn’t amazing. It isn’t unique. It isn’t going to wow your guests.

But dear lord is it easy, and sometimes that’s all you can ask for.

This Chicken and Gravy recipe from Who Needs a Cape has four steps and three ingredients, not including salt and pepper. It’s a crockpot dish. It can even be prepared ahead of time and frozen for even easier cooking.

Add some mashed potatoes (or if you—like me!—forget to buy potatoes, noodles) and something green. It’s a warm, hearty easy meal.

…Also, I forgot to take this one’s picture, but I only realized that after typing this whole post up. It wasn’t all that pretty, anyway.

Crockpot Chicken and Gravy


Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 4 or 8 hours


2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast

1 jar (12 ounces) chicken gravy (or 2 packets of chicken gravy)

1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup

Salt & pepper to taste


Spray slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray, then place chicken inside.

Mix gravy and soup together and pour over chicken.

Add salt/pepper to taste.

Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
